This schedule includes routine vaccinations from birth through age 18, including adolescent vaccines commonly recommended around ages 11–12 and 16.

First vaccines are typically given in the hospital before going home.

2 months

What to expect at this visit

Baby will receive their first doses of several vaccines at this visit. They may also get RSV monoclonal antibodies if they haven’t already. Most of the vaccines at this visit are given as a combination vaccine, and one is given orally. This means baby will likely only receive two or three shots. You can expect vaccines to be given in baby’s legs. Talk with your baby’s provider about ways to comfort your baby before, during and after their vaccines.

4 months

What to expect at this visit

Baby will receive additional doses of the vaccines they got at their 2-month visit. If they have not yet received RSV monoclonal antibodies and it is RSV season, they may receive this medicine as well.

6 months

Baby will receive additional doses of the vaccines they got at earlier visits. They may also get annual influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations during respiratory illness season, and seasonal RSV protection depending on when they were born, if their birth parent had the RSV vaccine, and their health conditions.

This visit provides booster doses to strengthen the protection built during infancy. Follow-up doses help to build protection as the child gets older. Influenza and COVID-19 vaccines are available during respiratory illness season and may be provided during the visit. 4-6 years

What to expect at this visit

These vaccines make sure children have the best protection against serious illnesses before they begin school. These vaccines are available as combination vaccines meaning your child will likely only need two shots at this visit. Influenza and COVID-19 vaccines are available during respiratory illness season and may also be provided during the visit.

9-10 years

  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
